Frequently asked
Questions about the work.
Answers to what customers ask most about our systems, preparation, and process.
What surfaces can be coated?+
Garages, patios, pool decks, walkways, sidewalks, warehouses, shops, and other interior or exterior concrete surfaces that pass inspection.
Why is mechanical grinding important?+
Diamond grinding opens the concrete profile so the coating locks in mechanically. Acid etching and simple cleaning cannot produce the same bond.
What is a polyurea base coat?+
Polyurea is a fast-setting, flexible base that anchors the flake broadcast and moves with the slab.
What is a polyaspartic topcoat?+
Polyaspartic clear coats offer UV stability and chemical resistance for a durable, easy-to-clean finish.
Can damaged concrete be coated?+
Often, yes — after inspection. Cracks, pits, and worn areas are repaired before the system is installed.
How is the surface prepared?+
We inspect, address moisture and damage, grind mechanically, and repair as needed before any coating is applied.
Can existing coatings be removed?+
In most cases, yes. Removal method depends on what is there and how it was originally installed.
How do I choose a decorative flake finish?+
We share sample blends during the estimate and help match the finish to the space and the light it receives.
How long does the process take?+
Timing varies by surface, size, temperature, humidity, and site conditions. We share a project-specific timeline before we begin.
When can the surface be used again?+
Return-to-service windows depend on the products used and site conditions. Your project timeline will include specific guidance.
How should coated surfaces be cleaned?+
Sweeping and periodic wet-cleaning with mild, pH-neutral cleaners is typical. Product-specific guidance is provided at closeout.
Do you serve commercial properties?+
Yes. Warehouses, shops, retail spaces, light industrial facilities, and commercial garages are welcome inquiries.
How do I request an estimate?+
Use the online estimate form. Share photos and project details, and we will follow up to discuss the right system.
